No-Limit Holdem Poker- Who is Phil Ivey?

Phil Ivey has been branded as the best poker player on the planet by most of the top-ranked professionals. Phil Ivey was born in Riverside, CA and moved to Jersey before his first birthday. His papa taught Phil penny-ante 5-Card Stud poker. From that point on, Phil was addicted to poker and wished to pickup whatever he could about the game. Phil routinely would tell his elders that he wanted to be a professional poker player. He did not allow the detrimental comments from other people kill his dream of becoming one of the strongest poker players in the world.

Phil started playing intently after acquiring a false ID with the name of Jerome. He honed his techniques at the poker rooms in Atlantic City. The beginning number of years for him were a teaching experience and coming away with a win was not a common thing at the time. He made his mark at the 2000 WSOP when he made 2 final tables and won his first WSOP bracelet, in a $2, five hundred Pot-Limit Omaha event.
